Participate in the 4YFN – 2023

This initiative, promoted by StartUB! and the Bosch and Gimpera Foundation, with the support of the Office of the Vice President for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Transfer, is aimed at facilitating the participation of entrepreneurial projects arising from the university community at the benchmark international entrepreneurship and innovation fair 4YFN, which is held annually in Barcelona. The 2022 edition is held from February 27 to March 2, 2023, and participation in this call will allow 8 start-ups and/or spin-offs to be selected to be present, through a stand, on the 27th and 28th. February at this fair.

In this call, aimed at facilitating the participation in the 4YFN of entrepreneurial projects with social impact arising from the university community – be they start-up and/or spin-off – it is aimed at projects constituted between the years 2017 and 2022, the dialogue with the which has to be through a person with a specific and explicit link with the University of Barcelona, ​​whether as a student, alumni of the last 5 years and/or teaching and/or research staff.

Entrepreneurial projects with social impact arising from the university community must present their candidacy to enjoy this possibility of a stand and pitch at 4YFN before November 6 at midnight, through this form (button). The requirements to participate in this call are the following: – Start-up and/or spin-off established between 2017 and 2022, regardless of the legal form. – Entrepreneurial team made up of at least one member of the UB university community, be they a student, former student of the last 5 years, teaching and research staff, administration and services staff who will act as the initial interlocutor. – Full commitment and availability to attend and be at the 4YFN stand on February 27 and 28, 2023, especially at the times that will be indicated in due course. – Responsibility for sending the required documentation on time. – Be billing or in an active process of seeking financing and with the intention of internationalizing At the time of submitting the application, a declaration of compliance with the requirements must be provided.

The projects that will have the opportunity to be present at the 4YFN: • Degree of innovation • Explicit link to at least one SDG • Milestones achieved and milestones to be achieved • Previous participation in support programs for entrepreneurial projects at StartUB! and/ the Bosch and Gimpera Foundation

The Project Selection Committee will be made up of staff from the StartUB! and the Bosch and Gimpera Foundation. The Selection Committee will ensure gender parity and give a voice to all areas of education at the University of Barcelona.
