New projects join the StartUB! incubation programme

StartUB! has welcomed 26 new projects selected to join its incubation programme, in a session that marks the beginning of a new cycle of innovation and entrepreneurship within the Universitat de Barcelona ecosystem.

The event, held at StartUB!’s facilities, brought together the entrepreneurial teams in a session designed to encourage mutual understanding, present the programme framework, and start building connections between projects.

The session was opened by Claudio Cruz, director of StartUB!, who welcomed the teams and highlighted the role of entrepreneurship as a driver of transformation within the university, in line with the mission to foster an innovative, people-centred entrepreneurial culture focused on generating a positive impact on society within the UB. This was followed by Anel Patiño, head of the StartUB! site at the Campus of Food and Nutrition of Torribera, who emphasised the importance of this hub as a key space for promoting innovative initiatives in the food sector.

During the session, Matheus Provinciali, Head of Innovation at StartUB!, presented the incubation programme process and the support provided to teams throughout their development.

One of the key moments of the session was the speed dating dynamic, designed to facilitate an agile first interaction among teams. This activity enabled participants to establish initial connections, exchange ideas, and identify potential synergies from the very beginning of the programme.

The session concluded with a networking and socialising space in a more relaxed setting, strengthening these first connections and reinforcing the sense of community among the new projects and the StartUB! ecosystem.

With this new cohort, StartUB! continues to promote entrepreneurial talent at the Universitat de Barcelona, supporting projects at different stages of development to help them evolve into initiatives with real impact.

This welcome event marks the beginning of a shared journey focused on collaboration, experimentation, and validation in real-world environments.

The selected projects are: Navican, Good Microbiome, Formaet, Too Mush, Farma Clar, C.A.L.M.A Tech, Kosmos, Egalia, VAIB, Tensor, NEAR, Levelup Agile, Cultura Activa, Spain Ready, Neo Bloom, Mosaic, Gathered, Drink Ela, CrewNet, Ulysses, PetAgent, Noctua, Klared, SSAN, Tour New and Cyrill Immersive.
