This study aims to boost entrepreneurial potential at universities. To achieve this, it is essential to understand and address several influencing factors:

• Personal and family motivations that drive entrepreneurship.
• The environment of an entrepreneurial university, encompassing entrepreneurship education, the institutional climate, available resources, and the support provided.
• The cultural and institutional context.
• GUESSS’s international strategy facilitates collaboration and learning among more than 3,000 universities worldwide, enabling network-building and the creation of a high-quality, high-value database.

Based on the results obtained, recommendations are generated for various institutions to foster high-potential entrepreneurship. These recommendations will cover aspects such as:

• Entrepreneurial intentions and behaviors.
• Early-stage initiatives and firms.
• Startup performance and growth.
• Entrepreneurship policies with a gender focus.
• Relations with family businesses.

GUESSS (Global University Entrepreneurial Spirit Students’ Survey) is one of the most important entrepreneurship research projects worldwide. Its main focus is to analyze students’ entrepreneurial intentions and activities. The project started in 2003 at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and collects data globally every two years.

The importance of GUESSS lies in the value of the data collected, which has been used in numerous publications in leading international academic journals such as Journal of Business Venturing and Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice.

In addition, the project generates practical impact through international and national project reports, contributing to a better understanding of entrepreneurship among university students.

Therefore, the GUESSS research project analyzes students’ career-choice intentions and related activities in more than 60 countries and over 3,000 universities.
