VI STARTUB! INVESTMENT FORUM
Intending to foster entrepreneurial spirit within the university community, supporting emerging projects and connecting startups and spinoffs with investors, we are opening the call for the VI StartUB! Investment Forum.
Startups interested in taking part in this call must meet the following requirements:
- Submit their application between 13th May and 13th June 2026, by 23:59, using the designated registration form.
- Companies must be legally incorporated.
- The call is open to startups from the broader ecosystem.
- The project must be seeking investment at seed, pre-seed or Series A stage.
- The startup must have a minimum viable product (MVP) or be at an advanced stage of development.
- The team must have at least one person working full-time on the startup.
- A pitch deck in URL format must be submitted as part of the registration form.

This call is aimed at:
- Legally incorporated startups and spin-offs.
- Projects actively seeking investment with a validated MVP.
- Teams committed to sustainable development (aligned with at least one of the Sustainable Development Goals – SDGs).
- Projects with achieved milestones and a clear vision for the future.
- Entrepreneurs with a solid, fully dedicated team.

- Notification of selected projects: 18th June 2026

Selected startups must participate in a structured training programme consisting of five sessions:
Bootcamp 1st – 19th June (10:00 – 14:00)
- Legal aspects of investment (2-hour session)
- Preparing for future funding rounds (2-hour session)
Bootcamp 2nd – 01st & 08th June (10:00 – 14:00 / 15:00 – 18:00)
- In-person elevator pitch presentation for feedback (1-hour sessions per startup)
- Presentation of the Elevator Pitch in person, at the time slot selected through the link that will be sent by email.
- Time slot selection subject to availability.
Bootcamp 3rd – 27th & 29th July
- Graphic design sessions to improve elevator pitch presentations (1 hour per startup)
- Presentation of the Elevator Pitch in person, at the time slot selected through the link that will be sent by email.
- Time slot selection subject to availability.
Bootcamp 4th – 9th September
- In-person elevator pitch presentation, final feedback round (30-minute sessions per startup)
- Presentation of the Elevator Pitch in person, at the time slot selected through the link that will be sent by email.
- Time slot selection subject to availability.
Bootcamp 5th – 30th September (9:30 – 14:00)
- Final elevator pitch review (10 minutes per startup)
- Presentation of the Elevator Pitch in person, at the time slot selected through the link that will be sent by email.
- Time slot selection subject to availability.
Note: Attendance at all sessions is mandatory in order to present at the forum.
Location: StartUB! – Les Corts
Important: Attendance at all training sessions is mandatory to participate in the Investment Forum. If you are unable to attend in person, we strongly advise against submitting an application.
Selection committee
The evaluation committee will be made up of University of Barcelona staff, ensuring gender parity and representation across all areas of knowledge within the institution.

Three special awards will be presented at the forum to projects embodying key values of the entrepreneurial ecosystem:

- Innovation Award 2026
