– Carles Fabrega, Director of the Human Health Division of HIPRA.
A graduate in Science from Winthrop University, Carles Fabrega expanded his training with an Advanced Management program (AMP) at IESE Business School of the University of Navarra. He joined HIPRA in 2003, after having worked as an auditor at PwC, and currently heads the company’s Human Health Division. Throughout his career at HIPRA, he has held roles as commercial director, director for the Americas and financial controller. His work has been key to the company’s international expansion, contributing to the opening of subsidiaries in several countries and acquiring valuable experience in managing multicultural relationships in regions such as Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe.
– Mariona Serra, Co-founder and Director of GoodGut.
A veterinarian and doctor in pharmacology, Mariona Serra also has training in Management Development from IESE. After several years dedicated to research, she decided to found GoodGut with the aim of bringing the benefits of science to society. Under her leadership, the company has developed three innovative products for the diagnosis of digestive diseases, including colorectal cancer, and has scaled its growth with the recent acquisition by HIPRA. In addition to her business success, Mariona is recognized for her commitment to entrepreneurship, actively participating as an executive member in several entities in the sector and receiving international awards for her work.
– Anicet Blanch, Researcher.
Professor of Microbiology at the University of Barcelona, Anicet Blanch is a specialist in water and environmental microbiology. His work focuses on the development of methods to detect microorganisms and the monitoring of microbial sources, using bacteriophages as viral indicators in water, food and sludge. Since 1988, he has actively participated in international projects and is a member of technical panels of standardization agencies. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of the Water Research Institute and the Technology Transfer Foundation of the University of Barcelona, as well as being co-founder of the spin-off Bluephage S.L.
