The four projects, will now compete in the national phase of the programme driven by Banco Santander
The projects Toomusch and Gathered, in the University Entrepreneurial Projects category, and Vulvanes and Electraqua Tech S.L., in the University Startups category, have been selected as winners of the Santander X Spain Awards 2026 – Universitat de Barcelona
The Santander X Spain Awards 2026 recognise and support the best university startups in the acceleration phase —legally established in Spain and linked to a participating university— as well as entrepreneurial projects, offering visibility, national projection and a financial award to support the development of innovative and disruptive solutions with a technological or knowledge base.
In June 2026, the finalists of the call were announced and presented their projects to the jury. In July, the winners were revealed.
The jury was made up of Xavier Testar Ymbert (Vice-Rectorate for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Transfer, UB), Miquel Amorós March (UB Social Council) and Carlos Benavente Romero (Banco Santander).

The call, driven by Banco Santander through the Santander X platform, is aimed at teams linked to universities with an agreement with the bank.
With this new edition, the Universitat de Barcelona reinforces its participation in a programme that fosters innovation emerging from the academic environment and the transfer of scientific knowledge to the market.
