The start-up company VRi, promoted by Daniel Esteban, Jordi-Ysard Puigbò, Joan Ramon Blaya and Joan Fité, incubated at StartUB!, received the Santander X Award in the Accelerate category on November 29. This award from Santander Universities wants to promote the talent that is born in universities by rewarding the best projects and start-ups, as a symbol of competitiveness and employability.
VRi offers fully intuitive software that allows medical specialists who work with multidimensional biomedical images to manipulate data and work in real time in a transparent way. They only need to use virtual reality dark circles, with which they can visualize up to a hundred times more information than without dark circles. In addition, the system offers an artificial intelligence assistant that speeds up routine processes by more than a thousand times. With this, each doctor saves more than two hours of work a day.
The winners of the various categories of the Santander X Award, who have distributed a total of 30,000 euros in prizes, will have the opportunity to compete with the best entrepreneurs from around the world in the Santander X Global Award 2022, as representatives of Spain.
