A team of students from the Master of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Barcelona has won 3rd prize in the international final of the EIT Health Innovation Day.
The team, formed by Leyre Fernández, Miran Loiti, Pablo Valiente, María Fernández and Jaime Cámara, have developed a foldable container to clean the menstrual cup when there is no access to a sink with the aim of encouraging the use of the cup at the same time which guarantees hygiene and improves the experience of people who go through menstruation.
The prize, endowed with $5,000 in AWS credit, access to mentoring with experts from the Hermanos Trias y Pujol University Hospital, access to the EIT Health “The Healthare Entrepreneurship 101” program, and access to the “Towards your first Business Plan” mentoring program ” from EIT Health, valued at €750, will be a boost for the development of your project.
