These are the ‘spin-offs’ and ‘start-ups’ of the Universitat de Barcelona that will be present at 4YFN 2026

The Universitat de Barcelona (UB), through StartUB! and the Fundació Bosch i Gimpera, has announced the selected companies that will represent UB at 4YFN 2026, the leading international event for entrepreneurship and technological innovation, which will take place at Fira Gran Via de Barcelona (Hall 8) from 2 to 5 March.


The companies will showcase their technologies within UB’s dedicated space. The aim is to present the university’s most innovative projects with the greatest technology transfer potential, as well as the most relevant technological developments, in order to grow and gain visibility on a global stage.
Following an evaluation of all applications received, the companies that will take part in the event have been selected, grouped according to the days of participation and with a brief description of their activity; among them, companies arising from a university technology (spin-offs) and emerging companies (start-ups):

March 2 & 3rd:

Spin-offs

  1. Electraqua Tech – Solutions for the removal of organic microcontaminants from industrial wastewater.
  2. OrganAID Holdings – Develops an artificial intelligence-based drug testing platform using organoids.
  3. Virmedex Virtual Experiences – Develops gamified software for specialised training in the medical field.

Start-ups

  1. Avaru – Virtual reality applications to reduce stress, anxiety and pain in patients and medical staff.
  2. CellFlow – Medical technologies for monitoring and assistance in healthcare processes.
  3. Nataly Life – Healthtech that develops medical devices for early detection and monitoring of postpartum risks.
  4. The Blue Box – Innovative biomedical solutions focused on diagnostic technology.
    WardUs – Mobile application designed to improve personal safety and promote civic solidarity.
  5. WardUs – Mobile application designed to improve personal safety and encourage civic solidarity.

March 4th and 5th:

Spin-offs

  1. Flavii Therapeutics – Develops epigenetic therapies for the treatment of disorders of the central nervous system.
  2. Nimble Diagnostics – Spin-off specialised in monitoring medical devices using microwaves and diagnostic technologies.

Start-ups

  1. BlindStairs – AI-based platform for bias-free recruitment processes, promoting equal opportunities in the labour market.
  2. BlueGreen Vision – Technology start-up focused on environmental conservation and biodiversity recovery.
  3. Caring Collective – Social impact project and collaborative systems emerging from the UB community.
  4. FotoNEX – Emerging visual/image technology project with a UB link.
  5. Link3rs – UB entrepreneurship finalist project focused on innovative solutions.
  6. Offside Game – Entertainment or gamification initiative with a UB link.
